Birds are amazing and mysterious creatures, and it is incredibly difficult to photograph them. In 2015, the British Trust for Ornithology organized a photo contest "The Best Bird Photographer of the Year" to appreciate photographers around the world who hone their skills by taking pictures of the fragile beauty of birds.

The main prize — 5 thousand pounds (about 374 thousand rubles) in 2017 is received by Alejandro Prieto Rojas (Alejandro Prieto Rojas) from Mexico for a photo of feeding flamingo chicks.

The best works selected by the Ornithology Foundation jury were also included in the photo album, the proceeds from the sale of which will be used for measures to protect some bird species.
