13-year-old champion Skye Brown is a young sensation of the 2020 Olympic Games

Skye Brown became the youngest Olympic champion from Britain, having performed brilliantly at the women's skateboarding competitions in Tokyo. The 13-year-old athlete won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games, striking the whole world. 

The super skateboarder was born in Japan to a Japanese woman and a British man. Surprisingly, she does not have a coach, and the girl learns tricks from videos on YouTube. Despite her young age, she has already achieved a lot: she won the show "Dancing with the Stars", wrote a book and continues to impress with success in her sports career.

13-year-old Skye Brown lives with her parents in Miyazaki. There are no skate parks in their city, so they had to build a ramp in the backyard near the house. The girl's father, Stu, was also fond of skateboarding in the past. However, he did not want his daughter to become a skateboarder.

The young champion says that the skate has always been her favorite toy. She became professionally engaged in skateboarding at the age of 8.

During her debut at the Vans US Open, Skye failed to take the prize, but then she promised to achieve the best results, no matter what. In 2017, the athlete took second place in the final of the Asian Games. By this time, a 10-year-old girl had become the youngest professional skateboarder in the world.

Skye became the face of the Nike brand, taking part in a large-scale advertising campaign. Then Sky "lit up" on television, appearing on the air in the company of Olympic champion Simone Biles and tennis legend Serena Williams. Soon the little athlete had a whole army of fans in social networks. More than a million users have subscribed to the skateboarder's Instagram page.

In 2020, the dream of becoming an Olympic champion could not come true. During a training session in California, Skye fell off the ramp, receiving serious injuries – several cracks in the skull, fractures of the wrist and arm. She was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state. 

Fortunately, the girl managed to recover. She continued to move towards her goal of winning the Olympic Games. 

The fame of the young skateboarder grew, and she began to receive offers to participate in various TV shows. In 2018, the girl became a participant of "Dancing with the Stars: Juniors" and, of course, won it. Fans were delighted with the success of the favorite on the floor. 

Skye has become a real example for teenagers around the world. It inspires children to strive for great goals, no matter what. In addition to success in her sports career, the skateboarder can also boast of the talent of a writer. Recently, she published her first book, "Sky's the Limit: Words of Wisdom from a Young Champion" ("Sky's the Limit: Words of Wisdom from a Young Champion"). It contains quotes from Skye and her photos under the main motto of the amazing athlete: "Be brave, be strong, have fun and do what you like."
