Here's a selection of amazing beaches — but today it is not the standard areas for recreation, and really unusual places. Some of them were the result of human activity, others can be called wonders created by nature itself.
1. Beach Benagil, Portugal
Portuguese Benagil beach is located near the resort of the Algarve, located in the South of the country on the Atlantic coast. Photographers, romance and courting couples from all over the world come here to enjoy the fantastic beauty of the caves of the Algarve which can be reached only from the sea.
The cave leads to an arched entrance, and its dome has a large circular hole through which sunlight penetrates, creating a unique atmosphere.
2. Hidden beach, Mexico
Hidden beach (Hidden Beach) on the island of Marietta, just a few kilometers from the coast of Mexico, known as one of the most picturesque places on earth.
In the early 1900s the island was used by the Mexican government for military testing, and not so long ago learned about it the tourists and found an amazing secluded beach, in a circle covered with natural rock formations, protecting his guests from the scorching sun. To get to the beach, visitors have to swim through a short tunnel.

3. Pink beach, Bahamas

4. Glass beach, California
A long time ago on one of the beaches on the coast of California was a garbage dump. Household waste, glass and even broken cars for years to accumulate along the coastline in Fort Bragg.

8. Atoll Vaadhoo, Maldives

This is bioluminescence — the wonderful phenomenon when live microorganisms (phytoplankton) react to oxygen and converts its energy into a soft light, illuminating the surf.
9. Shelly Beach, Australia
Scenic Shell Beach, located on the Eastern side of the Peninsula Peron, has a length of almost 60 km. Instead of sand it is covered with trillions of white shells — tiny shells of Fragum erugatum clam.
The water in the Bay is very salty, and adapt to it other organisms are unable, but these clams feel great and have multiplied in an incredible amount. The remains of their activity covered the kilometers of the coastal line, and now tourists enjoy coming here for the beautiful photos.
10. Maho Beach, Saint Martin
Tourists who visit this beach on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, waiting for a wonderful sight: here the planes fly right over the heads of tourists. The thing is that the end of the runway of Princess Juliana international airport is located right next to Maho.
