Working with tables — the "god" level: a Japanese man draws anime in Excel
A Twitter user from Japan under the nickname Maruraba draws famous anime heroines in Microsoft Excel for working with tables. To do this, he uses different forms: there can be more than a thousand of them in one work. The result is no worse than in graphic editors.

To make such a drawing, Maruraba creates a huge number of shapes, paints them manually and turns them.

Maruraba's drawings include manga and anime heroines, in particular "Girls and Tanks", "Lilies in the Wind", "Eromanga—sensei", "Did you order a Rabbit?", "Sadistic Mixture", "Sea School".

When Maruraba is asked what kind of drawing program he would recommend, he always advises his favorite tool — Excel. It may seem strange, but it is not the program itself that is important for the artist, but how he can use it for his vision.

Maruraba is not the only Japanese who draws in Excel. 77-year-old artist Tatsuo Horiuchi uses the program to create landscapes with traditional Japanese motifs: cherry blossoms, waterfalls and carp.
