Rock tourism without censorship in Minsk

"Why don't you stay in Minsk for the weekend and go to the "Rock for Beavers"?" — this question ended our one-day visit to friends in Belarus and began a completely summer story of multi-day adventures, in which this funny in name, but quite serious in organization and list of teams, rock music festival took a huge place.

We rather state the fact, but even after the change of venues of "Kubana" and "Kazantip", the festival life in Russia is quite saturated with loud musical names and iconic performances. But there are few places where you will find such an atmosphere as at the "Rock for Beavers".

Despite the fact that the official start of the festival was at three o'clock in the afternoon, and the starting line-up consisted of local groups, after half an hour it was hot on the dance floor. Local teams, for example, "Without a ticket", simply masterfully charged the audience, arranging almost a mass meditation and yoga class, since the music was very conducive to this. Their chorus to "Friday":



The seagull is circling, the wave is running. It's good that the whole world belongs to me. The earth is floating, the moon is burning. It's great that the whole world belongs to me.

Queues appeared in food courts. We were lucky with the weather — it was dry, rare clouds saved us from the heat and heat.

The most linear would be to compare "For Beavers" with "Invasion", especially considering the choice of location. The festival was held on the airfield field, and in the distance there was an exhibition of a variety of aircraft and helicopters. But we won't.

It is believed that rock music is aggressive. For the entire festival, the only dangerous place was a small slam zone under Noize MC and his track "Arrange Destruction". She self-organized and quietly disbanded after completing the song.

The audience had a great time: dancing, meeting friends, singing, burning at various contests and activity zones. Many people came to the fest with their children, and everyone treated them very respectfully. Well, it would be strange to come to Minsk to friends from Wargaming and not meet tanks here. Still, this game leaves few people indifferent.

After Noize, the main headliners rose to the stage — 5'nizza, "Screams of Vidoplyasov", "Bravo", and about 20 thousand people were on the field by the exit of "Troll Mummies". It was noticeable that after the first composition, each team was imbued with a warm welcome and an exceptionally kind atmosphere of "Rock for Beavers". The dance floor supported the lyrical composition from the "Screams of Vidoplyasov" by turning on the flashes on the phones, and Lagutenko went down to the audience on the second verse of the "Bear", and they sang with him.

So, confirming the thesis that tourism can be different, you can safely put "Rock for Beavers" in the list of must—visit places where there is something to discover - a hospitable southern atmosphere, great music and wonderful people.
