Today, it seems that she is indistinguishable from dozens of other beauties in the style of Marilyn Monroe - a blonde, only 157 cm tall, with a doll-like face, high breasts and lush hips. But this is only because our standards of beauty are completely different. In her time, Winters was considered beautiful and unique. (Caution! Nudity).
Lisa Winters' real name is Marie Perry. The future dream of millions of men was born on May 18, 1936, in Pompano Beach, Florida, USA. Lisa began her modeling career at the age of 18, and by the age of 20 she had achieved success. In 1956, she was invited to shoot for Playboy and her image graced the December issue of the men's magazine.
In 1957, Winters continued to collaborate with the magazine and was named Playboy's Playmate of the Year. It is worth mentioning that Lisa Winters was a special model and caused the magazine's editors a lot of trouble. She was incredibly shy and refused to pose for male photographers. All the pictures, candid and not so, taken for the magazine were the work of the staff photographer, female Bunny Yeager.
It is worth mentioning that it was Yeager who discovered Winters for everyone. She accidentally photographed a pretty teenage girl running after a bus near her college. The picture caught the eye of Playboy owner Hugh Hefner, who demanded that the beauty be a model for the magazine at any cost.
After her success in the magazine, Lisa Winters starred in two erotic films. She agreed to be filmed on the condition that Yeager would operate the camera. The first film was called "Bunny Yeager's Nude Camera" (1963). The second film, in which she starred under her real name Marie Perry, was called "The Intimate Diary of Artists' Models."
Lisa Winters' career was short-lived and ended in the mid-60s. The girl quit filming and worked for some time as a secretary in the Playboy office in Chicago. Then Hefner and Winters' paths diverged and that was the end of her brilliant career. Winters is now 88 years old and lives in her native Pompano Beach in sunny Florida, raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lisa Winters is a shining example of how beauty standards and the perception of a woman's image change over time. In the 50s, she was the epitome of the ideal, and today her appearance seems typical of that time. What modern models and actresses do you think will seem "ordinary" in a few decades? Or, on the contrary, will they remain eternal icons of beauty? Share your opinion in the comments!
