Tsuneko Sasamoto is one of Japan's first photojournalists: she was born on September 1, 1914. And she is one of the oldest photographers in the country. Despite breaking her arm and both legs last year, Tsuneko is still filming. Now Sasamoto is busy with a series dedicated to flowers.

Sasamoto became a professional photographer at the age of 25, photographing pre-war and post-war Japan. “I was scared, but I was driven by curiosity. I didn't like what I saw, but I wanted to see it. I wanted people to see what I see, I just wanted to shoot,” says the photographer.
