"I killed myself with food": the girl got fat to 220 kilograms for the sake of love

At the age of 18, Kirsty Mounsey from Kingston upon Hull weighed 222 kilograms and was practically tied to the house. She gained weight for the sake of a young man, pretended that she was satisfied with her figure, but in the end she could not stand it and decided to lose weight.

Kirsty Mounsey has always been prone to fatness. At the age of 11, she weighed almost 100 kilograms, wore baggy clothes and was shy of her figure. She was bullied at school, she was very shy.

At the age of 18, Kirsty met 28-year-old Alex. She was excited when the guy said that he loves fat girls.

Alex strongly supported Kirsty's desire to remain curvy — for example, he contributed to her participation in the Big Beautiful Woman beauty contest (at that time she weighed 170 kilograms).

"The other girls were plus-size, but not super-plus-size like me. They were proud of their weight, well, I also pretended to be proud and wanted to show teenagers that happiness does not depend on size. But in fact, I was offended by this attention. I was bullied, and it hit my self-esteem. People said I was fat and ugly, and one person even said I should kill myself. It was terrible."

As the weight increased, Kirsty's health deteriorated: she had high blood pressure, she could not get dressed and climb the stairs without help.

"I began to feel useless again, I had suicidal thoughts."

The turning point happened when Kirsty's ten-year-old sister Cody arrived.

Kirsty accepted her family's offer to surgically reduce the size of her stomach. Doctors warned that there is a high risk that the girl will not survive after the operation.

"I was dying anyway and jumped at the chance to start a new life. I was killing myself with food. I was worried that Alex would be disappointed, but he supported me and said he loved me, not my size."

The operation was successful, Kirsty began to lose weight. When she lost weight, Alex left.

Kirsty still considers herself a plus-size, but now she is healthy. And men pay attention to her.

"I have extra skin, but I won't get rid of it yet. I need to reach the goal first."

Now Kirsty weighs 95 kilograms and wears size 16 clothes. But her goal is size 10.
