Because women of any country have their own special, time-tested style. Although we are still similar in one thing: we love to attract attention with our appearance. But there are much more differences. We studied the fashion habits of Russian and Italian beauties and here are the discrepancies we found.

1. In Russia, girls prefer mini, and in Italy - maxi and medium length
Relaxation and ease reign in the country of the Mediterranean. And the clothes here are sewn to match this mood. The silhouettes are loose, airy, and usually long. Despite the fact that it was the local brand Miu Miu who this season was one of the first to advocate the superiority of the mini, this did not interfere with the general attachment to midi and maxi.
Here they believe that short is, of course, beautiful, but terribly inconvenient. That is why they continue to wear flying skirts to the floor, thereby additionally saving their legs from the scorching heat. And I must say, without the slightest prejudice to femininity and elegance.
Needless to say, mini in our country is loved by women of different builds and ages. Of course, they don’t wear it indiscriminately, but the zero trends have increased the concentration of miniskirts on our streets. As a rule, high heels are still attached to them. It’s not that the Italian didn’t put on such an outfit, she just wouldn’t quite understand what the purpose of such “masochism” is.
2. Italians love accessories, but Russians do without them
Gucci and Versace, Fendi and Valentino, Giorgio Armani and Bottega Veneta - the number of brands per square meter in Italy is off the charts. Perhaps, no country in the world can boast of such an abundance of labels. And Italians very skillfully use it.
They do not flaunt branded clothing, moreover, they are not always faithful to it. But accessories must certainly be of high quality and recognizable.
Italian women never leave the house without sunglasses - again, the climate dictates. In addition, hats, scarves, ribbons, and scarves are added to them. Watches are also welcomed not so much as a utility but as an ornament.
Tender attachment to status bags is a special article of Italian etiquette. It should certainly be expensive and recognizable. Moreover, there is not just a lot of them in the wardrobe, but a lot. The colors are very different: from burning neon for a party to classic in black or beige.
3. They love Italians and jewelry, but preference is often given to jewelry and semi-precious stones. Large earrings, massive bracelets, and voluminous rings are an important fad for any resident of Florence or Milan.
And finally, shoes are another point on which it is not customary to save. Moreover, the country is famous for its perfect leather goods.
In our country, everything is exactly the opposite. For the most part, we treat accessories rather coolly, and a bag is nothing more than a functional item.
4. And of course, not everyone picks it up with every shoe or dress. Simply because it is long, troublesome, and costly.
The bag, as a rule, is bought in a universal color to fit any outfit. In summer it is light grey, beige or white. And the bright options do appeal to units.
One of the most convenient options for Russians is a backpack. It is worn not only with sportswear but also with dresses, skirts, and sundresses. For Italians, this decision is not entirely clear.
Italians prefer monochrome, and Russians prefer print
Famous Italian fashion houses do not skimp on an abundance of colors and prints, so the Italian style seems incredibly bright and catchy. However, this catwalk color has absolutely nothing to do with the everyday street style of Milan, Rome, or Florence.
In everyday life, Italians choose monochrome from delicate pastels to rich shades. Primary colors take the lead here. Particular attention is paid to white - it elegantly sets off the swarthy skin of local beauties. In second place are all shades of beige, noble, and elegant. Black closes the top three. Why exactly he is worth asking Monica Bellucci, who made him her calling card?
5. Russian women also respect black, and white a little less, but they are not averse to playing with prints and colors. If the flowers are large if the geometry is bright and catchy. And the main reason, most likely, lies in our rather harsh climate.
Unlike the Mediterranean coast, where the number of clear days just rolls over, we are not particularly spoiled by sunny weather. So you have to create a mood with bright clothes.
Russians choose a tight-fitting cut, and Italians choose a loose one.
The main thing in clothing for women in Italy is comfort and convenience, everything else fades into the background. Most of their clothes are usually loose-fitting. No tight bandage dresses, restricting the movement of tight trousers and pencil skirts. The basis of everything is knitwear and cotton. And also minimalism, elegance, and conciseness.
Shirt dresses, loose T-shirts, comfortable jeans - any Italian will prefer them to a figure-shaped dress. And here they simply adore trouser suits with wide trousers and voluminous jackets. They are worn both during the day and on the evening promenade. The difference is only in color.
6. Russian girls also buy suits with masculine jackets and wear them with pleasure. And they love oversized outfits, and they simply cannot live without jeans. However, in the same scenario, the situation is more likely to choose a dress according to the figure in bright or black.
Often it becomes that universal outfit that “walks” both on the evening promenade, at the concert exhibition, and even for going to the office.
7. In Italy they vote for a low heel, in Russia - for a hairpin
We have already said that for Italians comfort is the basis of the basics, and high heels, in their opinion, completely deprive it. And one cannot but agree with this.
Therefore, in ordinary life, girls prefer a flat sole or a maximum platform. The hairpin remains exclusively for evening outings, and here it is slowly losing ground.
8. Russian women have been forging attachments to a 10-centimeter hairpin for years. And they are not going to give it up so easily. In the choice between comfort and a stunning silhouette, the latter will undoubtedly win.
Flat sneakers and sandals are also firmly rooted in our street styles, but pumps are very chic that Russian women will not voluntarily give up. We certainly know how to carry ourselves with our heads held high.
9. Needless to say, there is nothing surprising in these differences. Some are not very obvious, and some are more than. But it's even more interesting. There is always the opportunity to peep at the style of the girls of a particular country and add a piece of Italy, France, or Spain to your image.
