By Vika https://pictolic.com/article/10-things-that-are-banned-in-other-countries.htmlThat's the news ... the favorite delicacy of children, Kinder Surprise, is banned in America. US doctors said that the toy, which is in a plastic box, is dangerous for young children. After all, they can swallow it. And they are right. It is not for nothing that it is written on the packaging - it is forbidden for up to 3 years.
9 PHOTOS
1. Salmon that is grown on farms. This is a bit of an odd ban, as we're used to believing that anything farm-grown is perfectly healthy food. As it turned out, unscrupulous farmers fed the fish with dubious grains with the addition of antibiotics. After that, they artificially changed the color of fish meat. Sounds terrible. However, this ban has only been introduced in New Zealand and Australia.
2. Foie gras. For those who are not strong in gastronomic delights, this is the liver of ducks and geese. Not the liver is not simple - people especially feed birds with corn feed so that their liver increases and becomes “fatty”. Therefore, animal rights activists started ringing the bells. Unfortunately, not many people managed to get through ... foie gras was banned only in India and the city of Sao Paulo (Brazil).
3. Ketchup in school cafeterias. How can you imagine a modern meal without this sauce? It's not American! But in France, this is a different attitude. In 2011, in order to preserve French cuisine, it was forbidden to add ketchup to school meals. But oddly enough, this does not apply to students. They can continue to consume this sauce.
4. Horsemeat. Horse meat is considered a delicacy, as it is not very common. In the United States, it is strictly forbidden to kill horses, especially for the sake of meat. Animals sometimes get sick and are given drugs. After this, the meat should not be consumed. Residents of the American states have strongly achieved that horse meat is prohibited in this country.
5. Unpasteurized, namely raw milk. Yes, yes, countries such as Scotland, Canada, and a couple of US states have introduced a ban on fresh milk. This is due to the fact that the raw product may contain harmful bacteria and microbes. They can also lead to serious problems, such as food poisoning, vomiting, and even kidney failure.
6. Trans fats, especially margarine. These harmful substances bring a lot of problems and diseases to our bodies. And it increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. Unfortunately, despite all the disadvantages, trans fats are prohibited only in a few countries ... this is in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, and Finland.
7. Baby walkers. Many parents consider this thing useful because this way the child will learn to walk faster. Canadian authorities believe that children should learn to walk naturally. And in 2004, walkers were banned. In addition, they endanger the child, as well as hinder his physical and psychological development. Just imagine: the fine for a walker is $100,000 or imprisonment for 6 months!
8. Prohibition of plastic bags. The first country in which this ban was adopted was South Asia, namely Bangladesh. Since then, this theme has been taken up by many countries, from France to Tanzania and Mexico City. Today, the topic of polyethylene is a global issue, since most states have already embarked on the path of saving and purifying our planet.
9. The last ban is the most surprising of all. It's a ban on weird baby names! This ban works in Denmark, New Zealand, and Sweden. If Danish parents do not choose one of the 7,000 government-approved names for their child, they must obtain consent for that name from the church. Every year, New Zealand and Sweden add banned baby names to their lists. Among them, there were such names as "Superman", "Violence" and "Google".
