10 Russian movie stars who have achieved success in the West

Many of our actors, models and pop performers, having become popular in Russia, decided not to stop there and went to conquer other countries. Some of them failed to achieve success in the West, and some of them managed to become popular and well-known.

The young Russian actor Grigory Dobrygin is known in his homeland as the performer of the main roles in the films "Black Lightning" and "How I spent this Summer". He even won the Silver Bear for his latest film at the Berlin Film Festival. It was this success that gave Grigory the opportunity to try his hand abroad.

Dobrygin got a role in the film "The Most dangerous Man" by Anton Corbyn, and then starred in the thriller "A traitor like us", where his partners on the set were such stars as Naomie Harris and Ewan McGregor.

Konstantin Khabensky, beloved by Russians, managed to realize himself in the West. He starred in several American films, where he played with such world stars of the first magnitude as Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Brad Pitt, Jude Law. He can be seen as a Soviet diplomat in the film "Spy, get out!" and as a treasure hunter in "The Black Sea".

Actor Yuri Kolokolnikov became famous in our country after his role in the film "In August of the 44th". Russian screenwriter and director Sergey Bodrov Sr. has been living and working in the United States for a long time. At the same time, he does not forget his homeland, constantly coming to Russia to shoot new domestic films. After moving overseas, Bodrov began writing screenplays, but then switched back to directing and made many films that were popular both in Russia and in the West.

Among the undoubted successes of recent years, such films as "The One who is in Love", "East-West", "Mongol", "Bear Kiss", "Nomad"can be noted.

So far, there are few foreign films in Ravshana Kurkova's filmography, and her contribution to Western cinema is still small. The actress can be seen in the Hollywood action movie "The Last Throw" ("Lazarat"), where other Russian actors also starred in addition to her. She also starred in the Russian-Serbian TV series "The Balkan Frontier", where she played the role of an Uzbek female sniper.

Russian actor Igor Zhizhikin made a huge contribution to the creation of the image of the "bad Russian guy" across the ocean. Among his most famous foreign works are the films "Cold Game" (USA, Poland) and "Spagat" (Switzerland). In 2021, another film should be released, in which Serebryakov starred – "Nobody". In this film, Alexey plays along with Connie Nielsen and Christopher Lloyd.
