Wristwatches can tell a lot about their owner. For some, they are a sign of status and wealth, while for others they are a sign of good taste and a non-standard approach. For lovers of unusual and stylish accessories, we have collected nine outstanding representatives of watch design from around the world, which are worth paying attention to in the new season. And our friends from the TicTacToy store helped us in this again, who have an extensive collection of original watches and are well versed in the latest watch fashion trends.

1. John by 666 Barcelona. As you might guess, this is a product of Spanish design. Founded in 2002 by two designers, Ferran Serra and Oscar Vera, the company quickly gained popularity outside the capital of Catalonia and became well known throughout Europe. As for the ominous “three sixes” in the brand name, no, the designers did not sell their souls to the devil in exchange for an inexhaustible source of original creative ideas. They just wanted to highlight the magic of numbers that surrounds us everywhere.
2. Sun and Moon Mr Jones Watches. This watch boasts a combination of the unique design of the young, but already iconic brand in the UK, Mr Jones Watches, and the Swiss Ronda movement. The name of the model - "Sun and Moon" - is a reference to the classic clock of the 17th century, which kept track of time not on the traditional dial with marks, but by observing the change of the solar cycle. At Mr Jones at 6 am, the sun rises on the left side of the dial, slowly reaches the zenith in its center and gradually goes to the right edge of the display. After sunset, at 6 pm, the sun disappears from view, and in its place at the beginning of the cycle, a crescent of the moon appears, which moves just as smoothly across the already night sky from 6 pm to 6 am. The central dial tells the minutes.
3. Mercury by Ziiro. The creations of this German company - the brainchild of designer Robert Daby - are distinguished by the absence of the usual dial, marks and other elements that, according to the designer, only distract attention. Now in the arsenal of the company, which started with a single concept design, there are already 9 different series of watches. Despite the original look and rather futuristic design of Mercury, it is not difficult to determine the time by them - it is easy to read thanks to the ends of the curved lines, where the narrow one functions as a minute hand, and the wide one - as an hour hand.
4. 0024 from Braun. After a long pause, Braun decided to re-engage in watchmaking. In this area, the well-known brand of electrical appliances prefers to stick to the classic design. Her first decision was to re-release the classic models of the seventies of the last century, designed by recognized designers - Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs. The reissued models are as close as possible to their original appearance and have even earned praise from the creators of the original series.
5. Ora Unica by Nava. The creator of this watch, Italian designer Denis Gvidone, rejects the ideas of precision and punctuality in favor of unpredictability. “I am not designing a new watch design, but a new time design,” says the designer. At first glance, it seems that it is basically impossible to determine time by its unpredictable creations, but if you look closely, this carelessly drawn spiral has two ends, which, in fact, replace the hands of these hours.
6. Touch Time by Phosphor. This relatively new watch brand was born in 2007 in California, USA. Its creators have set as their goal the use of the latest developments in the field of watchmaking. At the moment, this is the only example of the introduction of E-Ink electronic ink displays into wristwatches, as well as the innovative M3D technology, thanks to which the crystals automatically line up in a sequence that forms a digital display. Touch Time is not a simple watch, but “smart” and has several built-in applications. The company decided to present the idea of creating their own smart watch at the Kickstarter crowdfunding site, where, unexpectedly for themselves, they raised $300,000 from 2,500 investors in a month.
7. Havana Nevil by TRIWA. The history of TRIWA (which stands for TRansforming the Industry of WAtches - "changing the watch industry") began with the fact that four friends from Stockholm decided to drop everything and create a watch brand. The Nevil model can be deservedly considered the face of this brand. Taking their first developments as a basis, the designers of the Swedish company have achieved the perfect combination of classic chronographs with modern elements - for example, a stylish concave dial. The result is a universal accessory that will appeal to both connoisseurs of the classics and eternal hunters of fashion trends.
8. Déja Vu by Project Watches. In 1992, the American company Projects, under the leadership of its founder, industrial designer Jack Marcus, created its first wristwatch and since then, for 20 years, has been pleasing customers with fresh ideas and unusual solutions, collaborating with eminent designers and architects. The author of this model is the already familiar Italian minimalist Denis Gvidone, who conceived for this watch the magic that every hour is born when the original translucent “hands” meet each other.
9. V02 by Void. VOID Watches are another representative of Scandinavian design. The company was founded in 2008 by talented Swedish designer David Eriksson. Watches from VOID have uncomplicated, but expressive forms, which gives them a kind of architectural sophistication. Classic hands are used in this model, but when looking at the "half" dial, associations with a car dashboard inevitably arise.
